Performance management

Each company will help employees to fulfil their potential by supporting them through an effective performance management process, including one to one discussions, designed to ensure realistic, achievable and measurable standards of performance are set. Help and encouragement to achieve a satisfactory level of performance will assist employees in making an effective contribution enabling them to play their part in supporting the company’s business goals.

Communications

The Group is committed to keeping employees up to date with information about its operations and performance including the sharing of Annual and Interim Results Summaries providing details of the Group’s performance

The Group publication, "HeadLines", is distributed on a regular basis featuring the latest information on Group activities, products and key appointments. General Information Bulletins are also frequently circulated to employees to provide up-to-date information on the latest developments at the Group. In addition, Staff Vacancy Notices are circulated fortnightly containing all the latest details of job vacancies at Group companies.

In addition to these publications, the larger Group companies circulate their own publications to provide information on matters of interest to their employees.

Grievances

Whilst it is hoped that the Group’s employee policies and procedures will avoid grievances, procedures are in place at all Group companies to enable any grievances to be addressed. The aim is to encourage the settlement of a grievance in a fair and objective manner.

Ethics

The Group expects employees to observe a high standard of ethics in any dealings with customers and suppliers of products and services. We demonstrate our respect for customers, partners and suppliers by engaging with them in a fair and just manner.Policies and procedures on the acceptance of gifts and hospitality are applied at each Group company.

Data Protection

Full compliance with the provisions of Data Protection legislation is ensured to protect personal employee information that Group companies must necessarily retain.
