London office move for Shepherd Group Built Environment

Shepherd Group has moved its built environment operating companies under one roof in centralLondonas the company continues to expand its presence across the capital and the South East. The Shepherd Group Built Environment divisions – comprising Shepherd Construction, Shepherd Engineering Services (SES), Shepherd Homes and Shepherd FM – have co-located in 12,000 sq ft of office space atOne Euston Square.

The move sees Shepherd Construction leave behind its base onPentonville Road, which it opened in 2011, to join the other operating companies across two floors of offices that will accommodate 100 members of staff. The offices have been designed and fitted out by the Shepherd FM interiors team. Shepherd FM will also carry out the maintenance contract at the new offices, which will be used as an academy for service excellence.

The decision to consolidate the location of theLondonteams comes on the back of a surge in growth that the Group has seen this year, having secured new business across the Capital and the South East.

Current projects include:

  • A £75 million regeneration contract at Colindale inNorth London– Shepherd Construction
  • The upgrade and maintenance of the RFU infrastructure facilities at Twickenham stadium - SES/Shepherd FM
  • Providing M&E services for the £11 million development of Pier 5 at Gatwick airport - SES

Mark Perkins, chief executive of Shepherd Group Built Environment commented: “Establishing a co-located divisional headquarters for ourLondonand south businesses is a logical step for us.  We have managed a controlled but sustained growth in the Capital all through the recession and as we start to benefit from the London-driven recovery it is even more important for us to be in a position to service our customers and the market in the most efficient way.  Our new base provides our teams with state-of-the-art communications and services to enable us to collaborate more efficiently both internally and externally.  It’s an exciting time for us. We are very upbeat about our sustained success and growth inLondonand the South and the prospects we are working on as the market continues to recover.”
